• Alumni Accomplishments 

The Reverend Bruce L. Butcher, President of the Payne Theological Seminary National Alumni Association accompanied Bishop C. Garnett Henning to Haiti as a part of the African Methodist Episcopal delegation to represent our Zion in August, 2010.

Dr. Mark K. Tyler, International Coordinator for the Payne Theological Seminary National Alumni Association hosted the Intensive Church Administration students last June with dinner at Warmdaddy’s Blues Restaurant and gave a tour of Mother Bethel AME Church museum. Dr. Tyler also hosted Alumni Liaison, Reverend W. Lynette Taylor and Reverend Harry Taylor at their home during recruitment efforts at the Women in Ministry Conference, Philadelphia.

The Reverend Newton Dixon is Vinton Anderson Fellow at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey, Switzerland from September 14, 2010 through February 11, 2011. The Institute is the international center for encounter, dialogue and formation of the World Council of Churches. It brings together people from diverse churches, cultures and backgrounds for ecumenical learning, academic study and personal exchange.

The Reverend Kima Cunningham is the new representative for Baptist students with the Payne Theological Seminary National Alumni Association.
