The Student Government Association (SGA) is the official student governmental organization of Payne Seminary. The purpose of the SGA is to provide opportunities for student self-governance and collaborative institutional leadership within the Payne community. Student representatives serve on all institutional committees as well as on the Board of Trustees.
Through the SGA, Payne students have a vehicle to voice concerns related to the seminary and student life and offer recommendations for improved community and institutional life. In cooperation with the Office of Student Life, the SGA seeks to promote a spirit of cooperative leadership, community, and self-determination. In recent years, the students have played a significant role in the seminary’s growth and development.
