Tuition and Fees

Tuition: The fee for tuition for residential courses at Payne is $240.00 per credit hour. For example, a residential student enrolled in 15 hours would pay $3,600.00 per semester. The same fee applies to interterm courses in January, as well as cross-registration for outside courses. Tuition fees for the semester are due on the first day of classes, unless other arrangements are made through the Business Office.

The fee for online tuition is $290 per credit hour. For example, enrollment at 15 hours would cost $4,350 per semester.

Interterm courses and intensives are charged at the residential rate of $240 per credit hour. Tuition fees for the semester are due on the first day of class, unless other arrange­ments are made through the Finance Office.

Audit: Spouses of degree students may audit courses without charge. All other auditors will pay one-half the normal course fee. Audited classes will not be counted towards graduation.

Full-time Status: Any student enrolled in nine to eighteen credit hours per semester is considered to be enrolled full-time at Payne Theological Seminary. Tuition charges depend upon the number of hours in which the student is enrolled in a given semester.

 
Less than half-time 1-5 credit hours
Part-time Students 6-8 credit hours
Full-time status 9-18 credit hours

 

Students need their advisor’s approval to register. Students must have advisor’s written approval for more than 15 credit hours.

Gomez Apartments- family housing  $600.00 per month + deposit
Single bedroom in apartment during Intensive  $150 per Intensive

Payne Theological Seminary reserves the right to make adjustments to any fees as deemed necessary.
 
Library Charges: A fine will be assessed for books overdue, payable at the time books are returned. Missing or damaged library volumes will be billed directly to the student’s account.

An estimate of the cost to attend Payne Seminary for one academic year (12 months living expenses) follows. The figures listed under maintenance can vary a great deal, depending upon the lifestyle of the particular individual or family.

Tuition Refund Policy
 
Tuition paid by students will be refunded to those formally withdrawing from the Seminary or by the end of the school year according to the following schedule:
 
Residential
During the first week of any semester 100% refund
During the second week of any semester 50% refund
After the second week of any semester No refund
 
 
 
Online:
During the first week of any section 100% refund
During the second week of semester section 50% refund
After the second week of  semester section No refund
